A fairly legitimate reason to not be wriing as much as I should

Amanda and I are currently trying to pack and move …  all of our blogs.

You see; we've outgrown TypePad (our current host) like an old apartment but the process of moving to a new place is rather painful.  It's kinda like moving then having to recreate all your stuff – not from scratch, from rubble.

So it's taking a while.

We've already effectively moved two blogs and had some issues, so if you were ever a subscriber of Amanda's blog – Not Quite Set – or my Moms – BS From The Farm – Please go visit and resubscribe.

I'll keep you posted as we get the new places set up!

This will make all my USB appliances jealous

Moving

Mar 23
2009

If you read Amanda’s blog or Mom’s blog you know that we’re moving; off of Typepad (where we currently are) to platforms better and more Sherman friendly.  This has been a time consuming process, mostly because I don’t have the time.

Things have fallen off the list as a result.  Absence is one of them.  It’s an unintentional consequence of progress.

Thanks to those of you who check in still and I hope to see you all again.  I’ll be back here more now and “here” will be moving soon.  As a special treat because you’ve been sp patient I wanted to give you a video

Amazing. Even now. Now it’s actually MORE Amazing

I’m an iTunes guy through and through.  I want to be very clear on that.  I love iTunes so much that I’m going to send apple a very large Valentines in the form of purchasing two iPhones then using the app store like a… well, you get the idea.

Having said that, Free is Free and free “Let’s Get it On” by Marvin Gaye is a great way to start Valentines weekend.  Enjoy

OK, this makes sense but still

This is an insane picture

Driving on the ice right now seems really kinda stupid.  We were walking on the lake the other day and the ice seemed thick enough, but when there’s standing water, and then there’s the fact that cars are heavier…  Having said that, the article goes on to cite as example a truck that feel through the ice recently; A 10,000 pound truck with a 7,000 pound load.

Seriously? That’s 8 1/2 TONS.  Nice extreme instance to prove a point.  Quality writing from the Strib
